Had the best fried catfish we have ever had last night and the view was glorious!
This place has the best food around. The views from restaurant alone are worth a quick visit. If you plan on getting an early start to exploring Petit Jean's wonderful trails, the all you can eat breakfast is unrivaled to anywhere I have been. The Lodge Restaurant can also be a very romantic place for a couple to enjoy a nice, quiet dinner.(My wife and I come here every year for our anniversary.) Don't miss it!
HAIR IN MY FOOD!!! There was multiple hairs in my food. I was extremely understanding about it and the manager came out to "apologize" and she was actually kind of rude about it. Asked me if I wanted something else and I told her I think I had lost my appetite and that was it she just left. They charged me $45 for my kids popcorn chicken, a single serve pizza, and my husband's sandwich, that was not eaten because we all lost our appetite at that point. Other than that food was extremely overpriced for what you get. Extremely dissatisfied! Will not return and do not recommend to anyone. 6/19/2017 6PM
I ordered the Petit Jean Pepperoni Pizza 7 in and it was delicious. I was with 7 other people so the wait was longer than I had hoped. Other than that I had a great waitress and an even better view by the giant window looking out off the mountain.
Their standard of staff is ubiquitously lacking. The view from our table however, was stunning and well worth the slightly overpriced diner fair. The quality of service left some to be desired, though being allowed a lengthy period between disturbance was pleasing in such a setting. It gave us an excuse to linger to witness the Majesty of Petit Jean mountain. The quality of the food was nothing to write home about, but I would soon return simply for the view. I recommend to anyone visiting the state park.
